Brockton, MA - The Worcester Bravehearts lost their second straight game Saturday afternoon, falling 8-0 to the Brockton Rox at Campanelli Stadium.

Brockton moves to 14-16 on the season with the win while Worcester slips to 17-10.

The Rox took the lead early on a Joe Bramanti solo home run in the bottom of the second and kept the lead the rest of the way.

Brockton opened things up in the bottom of the third. Pat DiSalvo and Jake Gelof led off with walks and both scored on RBI singles by Jacob Studley and Bramanti, respectively. Cal Christofori would cap off the scoring with a sacrifice fly that brought Bramanti home, giving Brockton a 5-0 lead.

Brockton added three more insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run by Gelof that also scored DeSalvo and Joel Lara.

Bravehearts starter Shawn Babineau (Franklin Pierce) took the loss, giving up five earned runs in 2.1 innings on three hits, walking six with no strikeouts. Nick Sinacola picked up the win for Brockton, throwing seven scoreless innings while giving up just four hits, walking two, and striking out 11.
