Boomers Honored by Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago, an organization dedicated to honoring the achievements of those in the baseball community, will recognize Boomers Owner Pat Salvi and President/General Manager Andy Viano at their annual Awards Banquet on Sunday, January 26, 2014.
Salvi Sports Enterprises, the parent company for both the Schaumburg Boomers and the Gary SouthShore RailCats, will be honored with the 2014 Organization of the Year Award. Both Salvi-owned franchises won the 2013 championship in their league, the Frontier League and the American Association respectively. In addition, Boomers GM Andy Viano will be presented with the Minor League Executive of the Year Award.
"Awards like these are recognition of the amazing work done by the entire Boomers family, from our terrific front office staff to our hard-working gameday employees, our dedicated corporate partners throughout the community, the Village of Schaumburg & the Schaumburg Park District, our baseball operations department, our friends at Levy Restaurants, and, of course, would not be possible without our amazing fans," said Viano. "It's humbling for the organization and myself to be honored this way, and we hope to build even further on our success in 2014!"
