Book a Field Trip to Hammons Field this Season

March 14, 2019 - Texas League (TL) - Springfield Cardinals News Release

This year's collection of Educational Days at Hammons Field brings Southwest Missouri teachers and students numerous chances for field trips to a 2019 Cardinals day game! Each Educational Day features a special pre-game forum for students before an 11:10 am Cardinals game.

We have Educational Days for students of all ages from Elementary School through High School. Discover the perfect day for your kids below!

Educational Days for All Ages/Classes

April 16 (Tuesday), Mercy Safe Kids Educational Day: Representatives from Mercy Hospital will host our Mercy Safe Kids Educational Day in the stands before our game vs. the Drillers.

April 17 (Wednesday), Missouri Department of Conservation Educational Day: A wildlife-themed Educational Day for students of all ages in the seats behind the Cardinals dugout before the Cardinals face the Drillers.

April 24 (Wednesday), CoxHealth Healthy Living Educational Day: Taking place outdoors before the Cardinals host the Amarillo Sod Poodles.

April 29 (Monday), KY3 Weather School Educational Day: Everyone in the Ozarks loves weather. And KY3! The always interactive KY3 Weather School is for students of all ages and takes place outdoors with KY3 meteorologists before the Cardinals face the Frisco RoughRiders.

May 15 (Wednesday), Discovery Center Science Day: Science and baseball combine for this popular Educational Day taking place before the Cardinals game against the Arkansas Travelers.

May 22 (Wednesday), Bass Pro Shops and Wonders of Wildlife Educational Day: A wildlife-focused Educational Day inside Hammons Field before the Cardinals host the Drillers hosted by representatives from Bass Pro Shops and Wonders of Wildlife.

June 12 (Wednesday), Discovery Center Science Day: Booked twice this season due to popularity, our second Discovery Center Science Day is also our final Educational Day of 2019 and the only one in June! Stick around after to watch the Cardinals face the Midland RockHounds.

High School only Educational Days

April 16 (Tuesday), Cardinals Leadership Forum: Junior High and High School classes can join us in the Cardinals Indoor Training Facility for our annual Leadership Forum before our game vs. the Tulsa Drillers.

April 17 (Wednesday), Making of a Field: Hammons Field Special for high school classes, the award-winning Cardinals grounds crew will lead Making of a Field: Hammons Field. Takes place in the Indoor Training Facility.

April 24 (Wednesday), Career in Sports Day: Special for high school classes, members of the Cardinals Front Office will lead Career in Sports Day in the Cardinals Indoor Training Facility.

April 29 (Monday), Business & Community Leaders Leadership Forum: Special for high school classes, Cardinals staff and other local business leaders will host a Business & Community Leaders Leadership Forum in our Indoor Training Facility.

May 15 (Wednesday), Marketing, Promoting & Selling the Cardinals: Special for high school classes, Cardinals staff members will host Marketing, Promoting & Selling the Cardinals forum in our Indoor Training Facility.

Middle School only Educational Days

April 16 (Tuesday), Cardinals Leadership Forum: Junior High and High School classes can join us in the Cardinals Indoor Training Facility for our annual Leadership Forum before our game vs. the Tulsa Drillers.
