Boise Hawks Selected to Host 2019 Northwest League / Pioneer League All Star Game

BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks (Short Season Class A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies), in conjunction with Agon Sports and Entertainment and the Northwest League announced in a press conference this afternoon that Boise, ID and the Boise Hawks have been selected to host the 2019 Northwest League / Pioneer League All Star Game at Memorial Stadium.
Hawks General Manager Bob Flannery, Hawks Assistant General Manager Mike Van Hise, Boise Mayor Dave Bieter, and Boise Metro Chamber President Bill Connors were on hand at Boise City Hall Plaza to make the announcement.
"We are so proud to be hosting the All Star Game next summer," said Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks General Manager. "This is a great accomplishment on all fronts for the Hawks organization and for our community."
"This event goes beyond seeing the future stars of the game," stated Jeff Eiseman, President of Agon Sports and Entertainment. "This is a two day celebration of Boise and the amazing community the game thrives in."
A finalized schedule for the two-day event will be released later this year, along with details on ticket information and associated events held throughout the Treasure Valley.
"Congratulations to the Hawks and Agon Sports and Entertainment for hosting the first all-star game in Boise since 2007," said Boise Mayor David Bieter. "This will be a great event for our city and I'm excited to see the game."
The Hawks begin their 8-game homestand tonight against the Spokane Indians at 7:15 PM. After this homestand, the Hawks leave for their annual Western Idaho Fair roadtrip (three cities, 11 days) before finishing the season at home on Monday, September 3.
