Bluefish, WGCH-AM Announce Broadcast Agreement

(Bridgeport, Conn. - April 25, 2013) - The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced a radio partnership to broadcast all home games for the 2013 season on AM 1490 WGCH and live webcast through wgch.com and bridgeportbluefish.com.
"We are very excited about this partnership and allowing Bluefish fans to listen live to all of our homes games," says Bluefish general manager Ken Shepard. "WGCH is a very reputable station and having our games on their AM signal will help us expand our presence in Southern Connecticut."
The Bridgeport Bluefish Broadcast Network's team is headlined by RJ Garcea. 2013 marks RJ's second year with the Bluefish and his first as the lead broadcaster. The Syracuse, NY native got his start at Springfield College as the voice of the Pride. During his time in Massachusetts, he excelled on the mic in variety of sports; which earned him the 2011 Sports Media Recognition Award from the Athletic Department as a senior.
"We're excited to be a part of the Bluefish season this year," says Jeff Weber, Consulting Operations Officer for Blue Star Media Group, parent company of WGCH Radio. "On and off the field, the Bluefish are a class organization and we look forward to broadcasting some great baseball."
