Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have spent the off-season making major renovations to their award-winning ballpark, Blue Wahoos Stadium, to enhance fan and player experience during the 2019 season. Work will begin on the playing surface on Wednesday, March 13. The new turf will be provided by Bent Oak Farms in Foley, Alabama, the same company that provides the natural grass playing surface for the Super Bowl each year, and span approximately 17,000 square feet of the Admiral Fetterman Field playing surface. The first game action on the new infield grass will take place on Monday, March 18 when Escambia High School takes on Milton High School at 7:00 PM.
