Blue Wahoos Announce 2019 Promotional Calendar
Pensacola, FL - The 2018 Southern League Organization of the Year and Southern League Community Service Award winning Pensacola Blue Wahoos will look to do even more for their fans and their community in 2019, ushering in a new era at Blue Wahoos Stadium with a new Major League affiliate, numerous ballpark upgrades and renovations, and a newly announced promotional schedule full of unforgettable moments and family fun throughout the season.
Every game day will be a celebration at Blue Wahoos Stadium with a full slate of weekly promotions at the ballpark. The Blue Wahoos will begin each week by honoring local military members and helping local non-profits raise money through a dual Military Mondays and Giveback Mondays promotion. During the 2018 season, over $28,000 was raised for local non-profits through in-stadium fundraising at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
Fan-favorite Fat Tuesdays will be back in 2019, offering fans dinner and a show for a rock bottom low price. For just $24, fans will be able to get a ticket to the Winn-Dixie Party Deck, a 90-minute pre-game buffet dinner, unlimited soda and water throughout the game, and a free Blue Wahoos hat.
On Wednesdays, the Blue Wahoos will engage with fans in new and creative ways through Social Media Wednesdays promotions, allowing fans to enhance their game day experience by interacting with Wahoos players and staff and win great prizes through the team's social media accounts.
Thirsty Thursdays return in 2019, offering fans great drink specials at happy hour prices throughout the stadium.
Each Friday throughout the season will be Giveaway Friday again this season, sending the first 2,000 fans home with an exclusive Blue Wahoos giveaway item at the gates. With 10 Giveaway Fridays scheduled for 2019, some of the exciting items fans will have the opportunity to receive include a Bud Light #DillyDilly Foam Shield on May 17, a Pensacola Beach Towel on May 31, and a Landshark Margaritaville Bobblehead on August 16.
The Blue Wahoos will light up Pensacola Bay with fireworks spectaculars throughout the 2019 season, including after all 11 Saturday home games for Fireworks Saturday nights and six additional mid-week fireworks shows.
Kids will be able to take the field just like the Wahoos players each Sunday for Family Sundays with post-game kids run the bases and the opportunity for families to play catch in the outfield.
In addition to the repeating weekly promotions, the Blue Wahoos have scheduled a season full of immersive promo nights combining themed food and drink specials, costumes, in-game contests and music, giveaways, and specialty jerseys to continue to provide fans with their award-winning game day experience.
Back by popular demand from the 2018 season will be Star Wars Night (May 4), Mermaids and Pirates Day (June 16), and Mardi Gras Night (July 16).

If you build it, they will come. Celebrate Pensacola's field of dreams and the 30th anniversary of the classic baseball movie on Field of Dreams Night on April 20 with post-game fireworks.

Who ya gonna call? On June 29, fans will help the Wahoos rid their stadium of ghosts, apparitions, and poltergeists on Ghostbusters Night complete with a slime zone and ghastly food and beverage specials.
Great Odin's raven! Local media personalities will be invited to participate in the Anchorman Olympics on August 3 during Anchorman Night. Can WEAR's Dan Shugart play the jazz flute? Sixty percent of the time, Anchorman Night is a hit with fans every time.
The Blue Wahoos will don specialty uniforms twice during the 2019 season. On June 1, the team will celebrate Fiesta Pensacola, honoring the history of Pensacola and its place as the nation's oldest settlement with specialty First City uniforms featuring the silhouette of Tristan de Luna. The Wahoos will go back in time for Summer of '69 Night on August 17 for a night of moon landings, Woodstock performances, and fauxback Blue Wahoos 60's uniforms.
Continuing their tradition of providing fun for the whole family, the Wahoos will offer numerous child-friendly promotions throughout the season including Easter Celebration on April 21, water park-themed Splash Day on May 19, an end-of-school-year Summer Kickoff bash on May 28, Mermaids and Pirates Day on June 16, the annual Independence Day Celebration on July 3, and Christmas In July on July 26.
