Blue Jays Sign OF Brett Carroll to Minor League Deal

The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a minor league contract with OF BRETT CARROLL. Carroll will report to minor league spring training.
CARROLL, 32, spent the 2013 season with the Indianapolis Indians and hit .222 (61-275) with nine doubles, 13 home runs, 38 RBI and seven stolen bases in 89 games. He also had eight outfield assists for the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Carroll is a veteran of 180 major league games with the Marlins, Brewers and Nationals. Overall, the outfielder has hit .201 (58-288) with 13 doubles, five home runs and 28 RBI in the big leagues.
