Today's Game
Today, the Bisons host the Toledo Mud Hens in the final game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo dropped last night's game, 12-3. Monday, the Herd will welcome the Columbus Clippers for their only trip to Western New York.
vs. the Hens
The Bisons are looking to avoid their first four-game series loss to Toledo at home since 2003. Over that span, the Herd has two series wins and seven splits. They can earn a split with a victory this afternoon.
On the Mound
RHP CHIEN-MING WANG will make his third start as a member of the Bisons. He has earned a quality start in each of his first two outings. Wang last pitched on July 13 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He worked six innings and gave two runs on five hits, but took the loss.
Sunday Success
The Bisons have a 13-4 record on Sunday this year. That record is their best of any day of the week, and is four wins better than any other day. The Bisons are 8-1 in Sunday games played at Coca-Cola Field.
Here is what's Happening
Blue Jays LHP J.A. HAPP will join the Bisons on MLB rehab assignment and is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against Columbus. The southpaw has been on the disabled list since May 8 after being hit in the head by a line drive in a game in Tampa Bay the night before. Happ is 2-2 with a 4.91 ERA in seven starts with Toronto.
Wagner to return
RHP NEIL WAGNER has been optioned to the Bisons. The righty has been with the Blue Jays since May 29 and was 2-3 with a 3.26 ERA (7 ER, 19.1 IP). With Buffalo, he was nearly unhittable, posting a 0.89 ERA with only 10 hits allowed in 20.1 innings (32 SO). Wagner was a perfect 13-for-13 in save changes with the Bisons.
