Bisons Fall, 9-3, to New Orleans in Spring Finale

Port St. Lucie, FL, April 1, 2011 -The Buffalo Bisons wrapped up their 2011 spring exhibition schedule with a 9-3 loss to the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins) on Friday afternoon. The Bisons finished their 13-game spring schedule with a 4-7-1 record and one rain out.
The Bisons will now break camp and head to Buffalo for the start of the 2011 season on April 7 against the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Field (3:05 p.m.). The team will hold workouts open to the media prior to Opening Day (dates/times of workouts TBA).
On Friday, OF KIRK NIEUWENHUIS finished the game 2-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. OF JASON PRIDE was 2-3 with a walk and INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI went 0-2 with a sacrifice fly._
