JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Biscuits (36-33) evened up the series with the Jacksonville Suns (34-32) behind 13 hits and a strong start from Enny Romero (6-2) in a 5-2 win Sunday afternoon at the Baseball Grounds in Jacksonville.
The Biscuits spread their scoring through most of the game early. Cameron Seitzer had an RBI-single in the first while Robby Price drove in a run in the fourth inning to make it 2-0. Robby Estrada added a two-run double in the fifth to make it 3-0. Seitzer picked up his second and third RBI in the sixth inning with a two-run double to make it 5-0 Biscuits.
Romero went five innings and struck out five while only allowing three hits for his sixth win of the season. Austin Hubbard and Erik Hamren (2) the eighth and ninth innings respectively without surrendering a run to hold off the Suns.
Jacksonville scored two runs in the sixth inning with an RBI-triple from Zack Cox followed by an RBI-ground out by Danny Black to make it 5-2.
The rubber-match is Monday morning at 11:05. RHP Jake Floethe will be on the hill for the Biscuits while RHP Robert Morey will get the start for the Suns.
