MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits were on the wrong end of a doubleheader sweep, falling in both games on Saturday night to the Jackson Generals, 5-1 and 6-4, at Riverwalk Stadium.

Taylor Guerrieri (2-4) was on the mound in game one against Sam Gaviglio (3-2), and the Biscuits right-hander would allow four runs on seven hits in five innings of work as the Generals got another multi-RBI performance from Tyler O'Neill who drove in a pair on a double. Jackson also got a three-hit performance from backup catcher Marcus Littlewood who drove in a couple of runs as the Generals sprang out to a 3-0 lead.

The Biscuits would score their only run of game one on a solo home run by Casey Gillaspie, the first baseman's ninth of the season, to cut the deficit to 3-1, but the Butter and Blue would end the contest with just three hits in the 5-1 loss.

In game two, it was Jared Mortensen (4-4) making a spot start against Andrew Kittredge (1-1), and the knuckleballer was not at his best walking a season-high seven while allowing six runs on five hits in just 2.1 innings, as Jackson went up early 6-0.

The Biscuits would cut that lead in half in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI-doubles by Pat Blair and Gillaspie, and an RBI-single by Jake Bauers, but would not have enough on this night. Emilio Pagan would enter the game in the sixth to notch his seventh save of the season, in the 6-4 win that puts Jackson six-and-a-half-games ahead of the Biscuits in the first place North Division.

The Biscuits have now lost their first series of the season at Riverwalk Stadium, but will look to get back on track on Sunday afternoon when Ryne Stanek takes on Ryan Yarbrough at 5:35 PM.
