Birmingham Tops Energy in the Rain

OKC Energy FC News Release
The hosts capitalized on the best chance of the game to take all three points on a rain-soaked night in Birmingham.
A torrential downpour at BBVA Field led to minimal chances in the first half, with each goalkeeper forced into two comfortable saves and neither attack able to find a groove.
The second half also provided few chances, but the hosts were able to carve out one and hang on for all three points.
Jonathan Dean's cross from the right was dummied by J.J. Williams at the top of the box for Bruno Lapa, whose first-time effort beat CJ Cochran for the only goal of the night.
A positive note to take away from the match for OKC was the return of probable, future starters Jaime Chavez and Zach Ellis-Hayden, who both suffered injuries in preseason.
The Greens are back at Taft Stadium on Saturday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. against Memphis 901 FC, and tickets can be found at energyfc.com/may29.
