Ben Hollingsworth named to USL First Division All-League Second Team

Charleston, SC. Charleston Battery rookie Ben Hollingsworth has been named to the USL First Division All-Second Team. A native of Mount Pleasant, SC, Hollingsworth was the only Charleston Battery player honored among the 22 top players voted to the All-League First and Second teams by the league's coaches and general managers.

Hollingsworth was named to the All-League Second Team as a defender despite playing as a forward for the latter part of the Charleston Battery season. Hollingsworth finished the year tied for first in goals scored (4) and points (9); he played 26 games (out of 28) amassing 2,092 minutes.

Hollingsworth was the recipient of three Charleston Battery Fan awards in 2005 earning the David Vaughn Award, the Newcomer of the Year Award and was voted Charleston Battery 2005 MVP.
