'Bells of Christmas' Returning to the Bayshore

November 10, 2020 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack are once again proud to be part of the 'Bells of Christmas' program to bring gifts to lonely seniors in the city's long-term care and nursing homes.

The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre will once again be the home of the 'Bells of Christmas' tree for 2020, with Attack staff assisting in the distribution of bells and collection of gifts. All bells contain a name and suggested gift items for the recipient. The Bayshore is currently closed to the public and visitors who wish to participate in the program are asked to knock on the centre doors at the main entrance to the facility to receive a bell and to drop off gifts. The program begins on Friday, November 13th at 9am and gifts need to be returned to the Bayshore by Monday, November 23rd.

The Attack Box Office is currently open Monday to Friday from 9-4 and closed from 12-1 daily for lunch. Interested participants may call ahead at 519-371-7452 to coordinate a pickup. Approximately 150 seniors were treated to a holiday gift last Christmas, a record high in the program's 4th year.

The Owen Sound Attack would like to thank the event organizer who wishes to remain anonymous, as well as all of our fans who have been wonderful supporters of the program.
