MANCHESTER, NH - The Bowie Baysox (27-30) rallied in the ninth, but fell short in a 4-2 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (36-24) on Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.
Trailing 4-2, the Baysox had runners at first and second with one out in the ninth, but RHP Andrew Case (0.2 IP, 2 H, BB, K) and LHP Danny Young (0.1 IP, K) combined to close things out for New Hampshire. Young notched his first save of the year.
The Fisher Cats took the lead for good with a run in the top of the seventh as Patrick Cantwell drew a leadoff walk, advanced to second on a single, took third on a hit by pitch and scored on Cavan Biggio's sac fly to give the hosts a 3-2 advantage.
RHP Michael Kelly (1.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) was dealt the loss for the Baysox and falls to 1-4 on the year.
