"Baseball's Even Better at the Beach" - Pelicans Unveil 2011 Promotional Schedule

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Armed with a new slogan of "Baseball s Even Better at the Beach", the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the
Class A Advanced affiliate of the Texas Rangers, back up their claim with a 2011 promotional schedule stacked with the best
entertainment acts, fireworks nights, and giveaways in Minor League Baseball.
In addition to dozens of innovative and fan-friendly promotions, the Pelicans have again lined the schedule with their
tremendously popular weekly promotions such as Kids Eat Free Monday, Team Tuesday, and Thirsty Thursday and have
added new feature day--Wiener Wednesdays, with $1 Hebrew National hot dogs at all Wednesday home games.
The action and entertainment begin with a bang for the Pelicans on Opening Night, April 8 at 7:05 p.m. against the Wilmington
Blue Rocks, with the first of 17 postgame fireworks displays throughout the season as well as a giveaway of team schedule
magnets to the first 1,500 fans through the ballpark gates.

The 2011 slate at BB&T Coastal Field features 17 giveaway nights, as well, beginning on April 10 when the first 500 fans ages
12 and under will receive the first of five free Webkinz to be handed out during the season. Other giveaways include a Pelicans

- Kids Eat Free/Mascot Mondays - All kids ages 12 and under receive a coupon at the gate for a free hot dog, bag of chips and
soda. The Pelicans will also launch Mascot Mondays, featuring local mascot characters at the ballpark.
- Team Tuesdays Presented by emedia group - For each of our nine Tuesday home dates, the first 1,000 in attendance will
receive a poster featuring a different Pelicans player. That nights player will be available for autographs after the game.

- Wiener Wednesdays - A new promotion for 2011, the Pelicans will offer one dollar Hebrew National hot dogs for 11
Wednesday home games.
- Thirsty Thursdays - Our popular discount special is back. For 12 Thursday night home dates, there will be on dollar draft
beers from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. courtesy of Budweiser.
- Sunday Pregame Catch on the Field - For nine Sunday games, the Pelicans will once again give fans an opportunity to go
down to the field for a catch for 25 minutes after the gates open.
The Pelicans open the 2011 season at home against the Wilmington Blue Rocks at 7:05 p.m. Individual game tickets, season
