Arizona\'s Joey Sides Wins \'Oakley Three Stars\' for December

TEMPE, AZanuary 5, 2011) -Arizona Sundogs forward Joey Sides, Missouri goaltender Robby Nolan and Rapid City forward Ryan Menei have been named the ‘Oakley Three Stars' for the month of December/2010.

For winning the first star honors, Sides will receive a pair of golf shoes from Oakley. Learn more about the wide range of Oakley products at www.oakley.com .

Players are awarded five points for first star recognition, three points for a second star nod and a single point for being named the third star of the game. Keep up with the season-long ‘Oakley Three Stars' point count on www.centralhockeyleague.com.

Oakley Three Star Standings

First Star - Joey Sides, F, Arizona Sundogs Sides is having a banner second season with the Sundogs and in the month of December earned three first star nods, one second star honor and was named third star four times earning 22 points. The Sun Valley, Idaho native scored 10 goals with 10 assists in the month of December and on the season has 27 points (12-15') on the season.

Second Star - Robby Nolan, G, Missouri Mavericks Nolan had the most first star honors in the month with four and also earned one third star nod earning 21 points. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native had an 8-3-0 record in December with two shutouts, a 1.91 goals against average and a .926 save percentage. The recently named CHL All-Star is tops in the CHL with a 2.08 goals against average and is carrying a 12-5-2 record for the Mavs.

Third Star - Ryan Menei, F, Rapid City Rush Menei finished with three first star nods and one second star earning 18 points in the month of December. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native is ranked third in the season-long three star standings and is currently tied for 10th in the CHL with 39 points (18-21=39). Menei finished the month with six goals and 11 assists in 14 games played.
