Mississauga - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that OG Dave Costa has re-signed with the club.

Commented GM/Vice President, Football Operations, Adam Rita: "We're ecstatic to re-sign Dave, he came on very strong for us toward the end of the year. With each game, Dave enhanced not only his own play but also the play of the offensive line."

Costa arrived in Toronto during 2004 training camp and is now the Argonauts' most versatile lineman. During his rookie campaign he was called on to play left tackle, right tackle and right guard stabilizing the offensive line on their way to a Grey Cup Championship. Costa was elated to remain in Double Blue: "I'm excited to be in Toronto. I'm certainly excited to stay with the core group of guys on the Offensive Line and Coach Miller. I like the atmosphere in Toronto and truly enjoy being here. I'm looking forward to the new season and getting back to training camp."

Entering his third season with Toronto in 2006, the former Wisconsin Badger played in the 1999 Rose Bowl and was named to the All-Bowl Team. Following college, the 6'6", 285 lbs lineman received extensive playing time with the NFL's San Francisco 49'ers in 2001. In 2003, he was drafted by the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe where he was named All-NFL Europe as an offensive tackle.
