TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today the signing of International WR Darren Carrington II and International LB Anthony Winbush.

Carrington II, a 6'3 and 205-pound receiver, was second-team All-Pac 12 as a senior at the University of Utah, after hauling in 70 receptions for 980 yards and six touchdowns in 2017 (all team highs). Previous to his year at Utah, the 23-year-old spent three years at the University of Oregon (2014-2016), where he recorded 112 receptions, 1,919 yards and 15 touchdowns in 33 career games. Carrington attended the 2018 NFL Combine and signed with the Dallas Cowboys in August, spending the pre-season with the team, before being released as part of the final cuts prior to the start of the regular season. The native of San Diego, California is the son of Darren Carrington, an eight-year NFL veteran who played in two Super Bowls with San Diego and Denver.

Winbush, 23, spent four seasons (2014-2017) at Ball State University where he was named the team's Most Outstanding Player and All-Mid-American Conference First Team in 2017. The 6'1, 240-pound linebacker racked up 99 total tackles, 25 sacks and nine forced fumbles in 45 career games. His 25 sacks tied a school record and his senior season total of 11.5 sacks was good for fourth best in the nation. The Indianapolis native also led the country in forced fumbles in 2017 with five and 13th in tackles for loss with 16.5. Winbush also attended this year's NFL Combine and spent the pre-season with the Atlanta Falcons after being signed by the team in May. He was released just before the start of the regular season.
