Argonauts Sign Three Imports

Toronto - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that is has signed import WR Robert Gill, import RB Michael Bellamy and import DB Vincent Agnew.

Robert Gill most recently spent time with the Arizona Cardinals during their 2013 training camp after a prolonged stint in both the AFL and AF2. During his Arena Football years, Gill was a member of the San Antonio Talons (2013), Kansas City Command (2011-12), Milwaukee Iron (2009), Lubbock Renegades (2008) and Texas Copperheads (2008). Gill attended Texas State for college but did not play football, opting for both basketball and track and field. Gill became a YouTube sensation in 2013 when he released this video of himself running on a treadmill at 25 miles per hour which has garnered over 3 million views.

Michael Bellamy joins the Double Blue straight out of college, spending time at Fort Valley State (2013), Eastern Arizona College (2012) and Clemson (2011) during his collegiate career. During that time, he accumulated 634 yards and six touchdowns on 133 carries spread across the three years. Bellamy broke onto the college scene with a bang in 2011, recording a 75-yard touchdown run in his first game for Clemson. He attended Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida where he was named Sporting News High School Athlete of the Year and was just the seventh high school player in state history to exceed 7,000 career rushing yards.

Vincent Agnew was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins back in 2011 and also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL. During his time in Dallas, Agnew was active for four regular season games. In 2012, Agnew was signed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers but did not appear in any games. Agnew was a five year player out of Central Michigan (2006-2010) where he totalled 161 tackles over 47 games. In his final year at Central Michigan, Agnew was named All-MAC third team and Defensive Player of the Year by his team.
