The Saskatchewan Roughrider nominees for the CFL awards were announced today. This year's nominees are: Weston Dressler (Most Outstanding Player), Chris Getzlaf (Outstanding Canadian), Chris Best (Outstanding Offensive Lineman), Jerrell Freeman (Outstanding Defensive Player), Craig Butler (Outstanding Rookie) and Christopher Milo (Outstanding Special Teams Player).
WESTON DRESSLER
MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
First nomination as Riders Most Outstanding Player...leads the Rider receivers with 78 catches for 1034 yards and five touchdowns...this is the third time in his four years in the CFL he has surpassed 1,000 yards...has started in all 17 games this season...last Roughrider to win the award was Kerry Joseph in 2007.
CHRIS GETZLAF
MOST OUTSTANDING CANADIAN
First nomination as Roughriders Most Outstanding Canadian...has started all 17 regular season games...has recorded 53 receptions for 940 yards and a team high eight touchdowns...was named CFL Canadian of the Week once this season and...the last Rider to win Outstanding Canadian was Andy Fantuz in 2010.

MOST OUTSTANDING OFFENSIVE LINEMAN
First nomination as Riders Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman...has played in all 17 regular season games at right guard...last Roughrider to win this award was Gene Makowsky in 2004 and 2005.
JERRELL FREEMAN
MOST OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAYER
First nomination as Most Outstanding Defensive Player...has started 16 regular season games at linebacker...has recorded a career high and league leading 100 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks, four forced fumbles and three interceptions...was named CFL Defensive Player of the Month and CFL Defensive Player of the Week once this season...last Roughrider to win Outstanding Defensive Player was John Chick in 2009.
CRAIG BUTLER
MOST OUTSTANDING ROOKIE
Has dressed in 16 regular season games this season and started 11 games...has 42 defensive tackles, 11 special teams tackles, six pass knockdowns and a team leading five interceptions...was named CFL Canadian Player of the Week once this season... last Roughrider to win Outstanding Rookie was Weston Dressler in 2008.
CHRISTOPHER MILO
MOST OUTSTANDING SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER (JOHN AGRO AWARD)
First nomination as Riders Special Teams Player of the Year...has dressed in 11 regular season games... has tallied 20 field goals, 44 kickoffs for an average of 55.9 yards and 69 punts for an average of 42.8 yards...was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week once this season...Corey Holmes won this award in 2002 and 2005.
