Anaheim Ducks Announce Roster Move
SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wing Ondrej Kase to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Kase, 21 (11/8/95), has recorded 14-1226 points with 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 39 career AHL games with San Diego, including 6-612 points and a +13 rating in 14 contests this season. Kase has also appeared in nine career Calder Cup Playoff games, earning 1-34 points with the Gulls.
Selected by Anaheim in the seventh round (205th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Kase made his NHL playoff debut in Game 1 of the First Round on Apr. 13 vs. Calgary. In 53 regular-season games with the Ducks, the 6-0, 180-pound forward earned 5-1015 points with 18 PIM. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 2 vs. Pittsburgh and scored his first career NHL goal and game-winning goal on Dec. 1 in Vancouver.
