Amerks Offer Businesses a Chance to Join 'Exclusive' Club
June 10, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans are offering local businesses a chance to join an exclusive club for the 2010-11 American Hockey League season. As part of the Rochester Americans Business Club, businesses will have a chance to capitalize on the sales and marketing initiatives of one of Rochester's most historic and successful sport franchises.
"It's networking with 60 other business members in the Rochester community and building relationships and friendships through the sport of hockey," said Amerks VP of Hockey Operations Ted Nolan. "It is for sure going to help your business grow."
Members of the business club will receive exclusive exposure to the Amerks extensive fan base. Each member of the Americans Business Club will also be recognized in our annually distributed catalog and displayed on the team's official website.
As an added benefit, businesses can attend 10 Business Club Networking events throughout the year to mingle with members of the Amerks ownership group, as well as Ted Nolan, Director of Player Personnel Jody Gage and other special guests. Past events were held at Rick's Prime Rib and Brook-Lea Country Club. The next event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 20th at the Burgundy Basin Inn in Pittsford.
One of the first business members to join the club was Richard Scovner of Tenneco Automotive. The regional sales manager was a longtime friend of Amerks Director of Business Development Stan Pesner. Pesner encouraged Scovner to join the club in its infancy and assist Owner and CEO Curt Styres, President Lewis Staats, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Kerry Atkinson and Nolan in re-establishing the Rochester Americans in the local business community.
"I told them I would do anything I could to help them because they care," said Scovner, who is also a longtime Amerks fan. "The team is 55 years old but it is really brand new.
"The business group is trying to get back the tradition of local businesses supporting the Rochester Americans," added Scovner. "A lot of other businesses have failed in Rochester, but the Rochester Americans are still a franchise in this town and remain a consistent avenue for entertainment."
To join the Rochester Americans Business Club, the Amerks are providing local businesses with four membership options: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Listed below are the membership packages.
