
Alouettes Add Depth on Offense

Montreal, November 9, 2002 - A week before the biggest game of the season for the Montreal Alouettes, General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that quarterback Eric Kresser and running back Marlion Jackson have joined the team.
Kresser's back
Kresser was a back-up quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes for 11 games this season. He was released and replaced by Matt Lytle in September. He comes back after an injury to Tavares Bolden in the last regular season game.
Marlion Jackson
Jackson (6'2'', 240 lbs.) is a running back who played earlier this season with NFL Europe's Galaxy Frankfurt. He rushed 92 times for gains of 364 yards and scored one touchdown. Furthermore, he caught 11 passes for gains of 97 yards, and added a receiving touchdown. On special teams, he returned four kickoffs on 67 yards. He attended the New York Jets training camp prior to his NFL Europe allocation. He had a stint with the Chicago Bears in 2001. Jackson attended Saginaw Valley State College and will be placed on the practice roster.
