DUBLIN, IRELAND - New York Red Bulls Homegrown midfielder Tyler Adams and Long Island Native Tim Parker both featured for the United States Men's National Team on Saturday night in Dublin, Ireland in the USMNT's 2-1 defeat to the Republic of Ireland.
Adams started in the midfielder, earning his fourth cap, and played all 90 minutes, while Parker entered as a second half sub for his first senior team cap.
At 19, Adams was the second-youngest player in the Starting XI on Saturday. The Wappingers Falls, N.Y. native is a product of the Red Bulls' Regional Development School, where he played as an Under-12 player before graduating to the Red Bulls Academy, and ultimately signed a professional contract at the age of 16.
Parker, 25, hails from Hicksville, N.Y., and returned to New York in March via trade with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Parker was the 13th overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft after four years at St. John's University.
Former Red Bull Matt Miazga, and former Red Bulls academy player Timothy Weah were also in the starting lineup.
