COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Reno led early and Patrick Corbin dealt seven quality innings, but the Colorado Springs Sky Sox rallied in the eighth to win a 3-1 decision over the Aces Monday night in the series opener at Security Service Field.

Reno collected seven hits on the night, but the Aces finished 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded six runners in scoring position with two outs.

The loss snaps a seven-game Aces winning streak and is just Reno's second defeat since May 28.

Corbin took a no decision, despite scattering just a run on six hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings of work. The loss fell to Takashi Saito (0-1), who surrendered two runs in one-third of an inning, pitching on a Major League Rehabilitation Assignment.

Dustin Molleken (3-0) earned the win for the Sky Sox after working around a lead-off triple in the eighth to hold the Aces scoreless. Zach Putnam slammed the door in the ninth for his ninth save.

At the plate for Reno, Adam Eaton pushed his batting average back to the .400 mark with a 2-for-4 effort. Ryan Wheeler added two hits, as well, his ninth multi-hit effort in the last 10 games. Stephen Drew went 1-for-4 with a triple, as he continues his Major League Rehabilitation Assignment.

The series continues on Tuesday night at Security Service Field. RHP Barry Enright (4-3, 4.59 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Colorado Springs will counter with RHP Tyler Chatwood (0-2, 6.26 ERA). First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. PT, and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports 630 AM or by visiting RenoAces.com.
