Gulls Reassign Three to ECHL

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned center Alex Dostie and defenseman Chris Forney to the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL, and assigned goaltender Angus Redmond to the Jacksonville Icemen (ECHL).

Dostie, 21 (4/13/97), has recorded 2-2=4 points with six penalty minutes (PIM) in 35 games with the Gulls this season. The 5-10, 172-pound forward has appeared in 76 career AHL games with San Diego, collecting 5-9=14 points. The Drummondville, Quebec native has gone scoreless in one game with Tulsa this season. Selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Dostie has scored 2-3=5 points in six career ECHL games with Tulsa and Utah (2017-18).

Forney, 24 (11/20/94), has appeared in three contests with the Gulls this season. The 6-2, 201-pound defenseman has gone scoreless in six career AHL contests with San Diego since his AHL debut during the 2017-18 campaign. Signed to a one-year AHL contract on July 12, 2018, Forney has collected 2-9=11 points with a +11 rating and 16 penalty minutes (PIM) in 31 games with Tulsa this season.

Redmond, 23 (10/3/95), has posted a 2.85 GAA and .909 SV% in two games with the Gulls this season. Redmond has also appeared in 17 ECHL games with Reading and South Carolina in 2018-19, going 5-5-6 with a .902 SV%. The 6-2, 197-pound goaltender was signed by Anaheim as a free agent on Mar. 31, 2017.
