Roadrunners Toy Drive to Take Place at Tucson Arena Next Week

November 17, 2018 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Tucson Roadrunners News Release

TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, are proud to be hosting a toy drive to benefit Banner Children's Hospital at Diamond Children's Medical Center at next week's home games against the Stockton Heat.

On Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21 the Roadrunners are encouraging fans to bring an unwrapped toy to Tucson Arena, which will then be donated to the Toy Closet at Diamond Children's. The closet allows young patients to choose a new toy after undergoing procedures or treatments.

The Roadrunners donated over 100 toys to Diamond Children's at the club's second annual "Roadrunners Fan Fest" in September and hope to assist with another contribution ahead of the holiday season.

Tickets for both games next week are on sale now HERE.

The Tucson Roadrunners return home with a .679 win percentage, third best in the AHL's Western Conference. Hudson Fasching has scored in consecutive games for Tucson and Kevin Ekman-Larsson registered an assist in his season debut Friday night in Stockton.

Roadrunners Captain Dakota Mermis, as well as alternate captains Robbie Russo and Mario Kempe are all currently on recall with the Coyotes.
