Philadelphia Union, Southern New Hampshire University Partner with Tilden Middle School for Attendance Initiative

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced a new partnership with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Under the agreement, SNHU becomes the Official Education Partner of the Philadelphia Union.

The partnership includes a community initiative in concert with William T. Tilden Middle School in the form of an attendance incentive program. Tilden students with exceptional attendance records will be rewarded with tickets to a Union match as well as an invitation to an exclusive event at Talen Energy Stadium for a day of fun, soccer, and a meet and greet with a Union player.

"This is a true partnership with a purpose as both Philadelphia Union and SNHU strive to reinforce the importance of education in our community," said Jean-Paul Dardenne, Sr. Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the Union. "We're excited to be able to reward local students with a fun day at Talen Energy Stadium for taking an active role in their education and ultimately, their future. We'd like to thank SNHU for their support and we're excited to debut this partnership at Tilden Middle School."

The assembly on Friday, April 27 will include U On Tour elements for students to enjoy, including inflatables and soccer-based skill activities, with giveaways courtesy of the Philadelphia Union and SNHU.

"Southern New Hampshire University is excited to partner with the Philadelphia Union to expand access to education and provide incremental benefits to our students based in Philadelphia," said Steve Thiel, Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships, SNHU. "With the Tilden Middle School attendance program, we hope to inspire young students during their formative years to develop a consistent record of attendance and engagement, which will set them up for success in life both inside and outside of the classroom."

In addition to the local community initiative, SNHU students will have exclusive discount ticket offers and access to unique pre-game experiences at Union matches. SNHU also becomes the presenting sponsor of an upcoming content series on PhiladelphiaUnion.com, highlighting the "Science of Soccer."
