Danger at Cedar Rapids for Monday Night Football

March 19, 2018 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release

The Nebraska Danger and Cedar Rapids Titans couldn't come in on more opposite paths for Monday night's game. The Danger are fresh off a 2-0 start, which already includes a win over the Titans in Week 1. Cedar Rapids, however, just suffered their biggest loss of the season, falling to IFL power Sioux Falls 70-33 on March 12th.

After a hot-and-cold opener against the Titans, the Danger put together a well-rounded 59-23 win over Green Bay this past Sunday. Quarterback Damien Fleming really came into his own, throwing for four touchdowns on just 11-of-16 passing, including a 37-yard TD strike early on.

The Danger also received great defensive play from IFL sack leader Xzavie Jackson. Jackson only recorded four tackles in the win over the Blizzard, but 3.5 of them were for a loss, and two for a sack. Jackson also forced a fumble before running it back 20-yards for a defensive score.

Cedar Rapids will be looking to rebound from a tough loss to Sioux Falls, but the Titans have shown they can put things together when they need to. They've already defeated Green Bay this season, and only lost to the Danger by 13 in Week 1.

The Titans are led by quarterback Jake Medlock, who leads the IFL in passing yards per game (175.3) and touchdowns (9). Medlock can get loose with his feet as well, adding four more touchdowns on the ground through just three games.

Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa tonight. The game will be broadcast live on 2DayFM 103.1, or streamed live at www.2dayfm1031.com with live video available at DangerFootball.com/Watch.
