Nashville Sounds News Release

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is excited to announce a partnership extension with Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers. As one of the team's founding partners when First Tennessee Park opened in 2015, Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers will continue to be a prominent fixture within the organization and ballpark.

The multi-year sponsorship involves the eight Hyundai dealerships in the Middle Tennessee region and keeps Hyundai as the Sounds' exclusive automotive partner within their category.

"Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers helped the Nashville Sounds open First Tennessee Park in 2015 and we're excited to continue the successful partnership we've built," said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. "Hyundai's commitment to the community ties into the very principles of the Nashville Sounds organization."

Over 1.6 million fans have entered First Tennessee Park in its first three years, with a large number viewing games from the Hyundai Deck in left field. With the ability to host up to 600 guests, the Hyundai Deck is the largest group area in the park. Hyundai will also be featured in several other marketing elements throughout the season, including t-shirt giveaways, vehicle displays, in-game fan cams, game broadcasts and the Hyundai pre-game autograph session with select Sounds players every Sunday.

"The Middle Tennessee Hyundai dealers are pleased to continue our founding partner sponsorship with the Nashville Sounds. We're proud to be a part of the community through this local sponsorship," said Frank Odrobina, HDAA President, Hyundai of Cool Springs.

Hyundai's community involvement continues to be an integral part of this partnership with the Sounds. Hyundai's Hope on Wheels campaign has contributed $130 million dollars to pediatric cancer research. Nashville's own Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has been the recipient of several grants over the years. With this year's latest grant, Vanderbilt has received more than $1.1 million from Hope On Wheels. Hyundai also hosts Vanderbilt doctors, patients and their families at Sounds games and provides them an opportunity to throw a ceremonial first pitch.

"Just like the fans of the Nashville Sounds, Hyundai is known for loyalty. For eight years in a row, Hyundai has been named the highest-rated brand in America when it comes to customer loyalty, and that's something to be proud of. As is our partnership with the Nashville Sounds," said Hyundai Senior Manager of Region Merchandising Jake Casmir. "Hyundai is pleased to announce our continued commitment to the Nashville community and the Nashville Sounds. Tie that together with Hyundai Hope on Wheels and its commitment to Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, and you have a winning combination!"

The 2018 season will be the Sounds' 41st in franchise history and fourth as the Oakland Athletics' top affiliate. Opening Day is set for Thursday, April 5 when the Sounds begin the season in New Orleans. Opening Night at First Tennessee Park is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 when the Sounds host the Iowa Cubs at 6:35 p.m. Season ticket memberships are available now by calling (615) 690-4487 or by visiting www.nashvillesounds.com.
