Delaware 87ers to Host the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation Night

UDance, the largest student-run philanthropy group at the University of Delaware, is a yearlong effort to raise awareness and funds to help The B+ Foundation fight childhood cancer. The event culminates in a 12-hour dance marathon, which will be held on Sunday, March 11 at the Bob Carpenter Center. The organization benefits The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, which was founded in 2007 in memory of Andrew McDonough. Joe McDonough, father of Andrew, will be presented with his very own jersey and speak about the organization on the court during the game.
Additionally, sororities, fraternities, sports teams, student organizations and residence halls received individualized ticket promo codes to raise money, and those that raise the most will participate in special promotions throughout the night such as the honorary game ball presentation, an in-game contest and an on-court recognition.
Genevieve Hahn, a University of Delaware student who is a cancer survivor, will sing the National Anthem as B+ Heroes stand with Sevens players. All UDance organizations that are paired with B+ Heroes will have the opportunity to participate in a Knockout Cancer Tournament during halftime, and the winners will be awarded custom jerseys and one-day Sevens contracts for their B+ Heroes.
