Prowlers Acquire Two in Dispersal Draft

PORT HURON - The Port Huron Prowlers selected defenseman Yan Dumontier and forward Justin Portillo in the Federal Hockey League dispersal draft on Tuesday night.

The draft distributed players from the Cornwall Nationals - who will not be continuing the remainder of the 2017-18 season - among the league's remaining 5 teams. All players were available in the draft.

The Prowlers first pick was 6'2 defenceman Yan Dumontier. In 28 games played with the Nationals, Dumontier recorded two goals and ten assists with a plus/minus of +20.

The Prowlers second and final pick was for Toldeo, Ohio native Justin Portillo. In 32 games with the Nationals, Justin recorded seven goals and seven assists with the plus/minus of 14.

"We are excited to have these two join an already strong club towards another Commissioner's Cup playoff run" said Prowlers Head Coach Joe Pace Sr.
