Colorado Ice Dominate At Home

(Loveland, CO) -The Colorado Ice gets back to their winning ways and stays undefeated at home. The Colorado Ice played the Arizona Adrenaline for the second time this season and won with a final score of 74-13.

At the end of the first quarter the Ice lead 20-0. The game started off quickly with a carry by Maurice Greer (34) for a touchdown, which was followed by a PAT by Rocky Stevens (26). David Knighton (5) threw two touchdowns to Mark Henderson (1) for 23 yards and 35 yards respectively.

Going into the half the Ice continued their shut out against the Adrenaline with a score of 34-0 with two touchdowns from Terry Washington (21) and two completed PATs from Stevens (26). Marvin Haynes (19) assisted from the defense with an interception, several crucial hits from newcomers Damarcus James (10) and Terrance Gaston (11) with a sack on the Adrenaline Quarterback Dennis Havrilla (5).

It was the Adrenaline that started the third quarter off with two back-to-back touchdowns but it didn't take long for the Ice to respond with a touchdown by Maurice Greer (34). Ethan Haller (4) threw two touchdowns to Duane Brooks (2). Both touchdowns were followed by completed PATs by Stevens (26).

The Ice defense was able to pick off multiple interceptions in the second half of the game with assistance from Corey Sample (9), James (10), and Josh Morris (6).

Newcomer Melquan Fair (91) played impressive defense for the Ice. In the fourth quarter Fair was able to strip the ball from Havrilla (5) allowing Eryk Anders (32) to pick up the ball and run it in for a touchdown. Greer (34) successfully ran the ball in for the Ice for the last score of the game. The Ice ended the game leading by 61 points.

The Colorado Ice will be facing the Nebraska Danger on May 14th at 6:05 pm in Grand Island, NE.
