7 Red Claws Players in NBA Training Camps

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced seven former Red Claws players are currently participating in NBA training camps. The players include:

Mario West, who is currently participating in the Boston Celtics camp which opened today, was the first player in Red Claws history to be signed by an NBA team. West signed the first of two consecutive 10-day contracts with the Atlanta Hawks on January 12, 2010 before being signed for the season by the Hawks.
"The number of former Red Claws players who are participating in NBA training camps is indicative of the quality of players that we had in Maine last season," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "For a first-year team to have seven players being looked at by NBA clubs is an honor, and we wish each of the players tremendous success."
FIRST CHANCE TO CATCH THE 2010-11 RED CLAWS NOV. 15: The
Red Claws will face the rival Springfield Armor in the team's lone preseason game November 15 at 7 PM at the Augusta Civic Center. Tickets the preseason contest are now on sale and are available at the Augusta Civic Center Box Office, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone by calling (207) 626-2400. The Augusta Civic Center Box Office is open 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Ticket prices range from just $5 for upper bleacher seats to $30 for courtside seats. The game will feature performances by the Lady Red Claws dance team as well as popular Red Claws on-court MC "JG" and Maine's only basketball playing crustacean, Crusher.
SEASON & GROUP TICKETS ON SALE NOW:
Red Claws season and group tickets for the 2010-11 season are now on sale and may be purchased online at www.maineredclaws.com, by phone at 207-210-6655 or in person at the Red Claws offices located at 413 Congress Street in Portland. The team's offices are open Monday-Friday 8:30 - 6:00 PM. Individual tickets will go on sale in mid-October. Last season, the Red Claws became the first NBA Development League team to sell out every single home game with 24 straight sellouts at the Portland Expo. The 2010-11 season will tip off on Friday, November 19 at home vs. the Austin Toros.
