67's Flag to be Raised at City Hall Ahead of OHL Playoffs

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's flag will be raised at City Hall on Tuesday, March 12 in preparation for the start of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs the following week.

The OHL's top team and Mayor Jim Watson invite fans and media to the flag-raising on the Laurier Avenue side of Ottawa City Hall, which will be attended by the entire team.

Media are asked to RSVP their attendance to Alex Pilote by Monday, March 11 at noon.

WHAT: Ottawa 67's playoff flag raising

WHERE: Ottawa City Hall, flag poles near Laurier Avenue entrance/Rink of Dreams

WHEN: Tuesday, March 12 at 11 a.m.

WHO: Mayor Jim Watson, Ottawa 67's Head Coach Andre Tourigny and the full Ottawa 67's roster and other guests.

Icing one of the best teams in franchise history, the 67's will begin their quest for an OHL title and Memorial Cup on March 22 at 7 p.m. at The Arena at TD Place. The rest of the Round 1 schedule will be announced soon.

The Barber Poles only have three home games remaining before the end of what has been a dominant regular season performance. The club is back on home ice this Saturday when the 67's host the Oshawa Generals at 3:30PM at The Arena at TD Place.
