67's Fall to Steelheads in Sunday Action
February 13, 2022 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
The Ottawa 67's dropped their weekend finale on home ice, Sunday, 5-0 at the hands of the Mississauga Steelheads.
Zakary Lavoie opened the scoring, 8:48 in, and Jake Uberti added another on the powerplay, just a few minutes later, sending the Barber Poles to the second period down 2-0.
Kasper Larsen made it 3-0 early in the second, and Ottawa came agonizingly close to getting on the board on the ensuing sequence, hitting two posts on an extended five-on-three opportunity.
In the third, Uberti and Lavoie each added another, and despite the 67's registering 31 shots on goal, they found themselves on the wrong end of a 5-0 defeat.
Game Notes:
Jack Beck returned to the lineup for the first time since November 7.
Jack Matier suited up for the 100th game of his OHL career.
Cam Tolnai, Will Gerrior, and Vinzenz Rohrer all tallied a team-high four shots on goal.
Will Cranley made 28 saves in the effort.
Up Next: The Barber Poles visit the Kingston Frontenacs, Friday night, at 7:00pm ET.
