66ers to Host 4th Annual Free Showing of Polar Express

November 26, 2013 - California League (CalL) - Inland Empire 66ers News Release

San Bernardino- It's that time of year again. Join the Inland Empire 66ers as they host their 4th annual free showing of the classic Christmas movie 'Polar Express' on Friday, December 13th at San Manuel Stadium. While this is a free event the 66ers encourage attendees to bring and donate an unwrapped toy as the team will be hosting a toy drive that night to help benefit the children aided by Santa Clause Inc.

Santa Claus Inc. is a local non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide new toys, new clothing, and new books to over 17,000 underprivileged children each Christmas. Their goal is to make each parent feel as if they are really 'Christmas shopping' rather than receiving a direct offering from a charity. Hundreds of volunteers work together, lovingly preserving the dignity of approximately 5,000 parents, grandparents, or guardians, yearly, within the greater San Bernardino area. For more information on Santa Clause Inc. please visit http://santaclausinc.com/index.cfm.

Gates will open at 6:00pm with the movie scheduled to begin at 6:30pm. Fans may choose to sit on the field or in the seating bowl, with only blankets being allowed on the field. Concession stands will be open for fans to purchase food and drink throughout the night. Bernie will also be in attendance, joined by special guest, Santa Claus himself.

The Inland Empire 66ers will host their first home game of 2014 on Thursday, April 10th when they take on the High Desert Mavericks at San Manuel Stadium. Fans may now purchase season tickets or group packages for the upcoming season by contacting the 66ers front office at 909-888-9922. Additional information is available online at www.66ers.com.
