San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino matched season-high in runs scored and evened its three-game set with the Lancaster JetHawks at a game apiece with a 9-6 win on Saturday. The Sixers took a season-best 11 walks in the victory four of those belonging to Luis Rengifo who also stole his league-leading 22nd base.

Lancaster tied the contest at 2-2 in the fifth but the Sixers bounced back with a three run frame against reliever Kenny Oakley (0-3). Jared Walsh doubled and then scored on Brandon Sandoval's two-out single for a 3-2 lead. Julian Leon then tagged a two-run shot, his second HR of the year, to make it a 5-2 lead. The Sixers piled on four more in the seventh despite just one hit in the frame Inland Empire took advantage of three walks and a throwing error. The JetHawks answered with four of their own in the seventh highlighted by Forrest Wall's two-run homer to center, his third of the year, cutting the deficit to 9-6. The 66ers (21-22) gave the game to Tyler Stevens in the ninth and he set Lancaster (22-21) down in order to earn his second save of the year. Sean Isaac (1-0) earned the win tossing 4.1IP and allowing one run with two walks and fanning three but did not allow a hit.
