2018-19 Season in Review: Sekou Wiggs

NEW YORK, NY - Sekou Wiggs was a key reserve for the Westchester Knicks and came alive in the second half of the season showing vast scoring, shooting and assists improvements.

Wiggs came off the bench in all but one of the 49 regular season games he suited up for. Wiggs was the lone Knick to garner five or fewer starts and play 30 or more games. As a go-to reserve, he led with 7.6 points per game, 2.1 assists per game and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Through the Knicks' first 22 games, Wiggs averaged just 3.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.4 steals. To round out the final 16 regular season games, Wiggs averaged 8.6 points, 2.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds. In addition, Wiggs' 13 offensive rebounds and 49 defensive rebounds in the second half of the season led all true guards on the team.

Wiggs rewrote his career-high at Lakeland (3/29) when he dropped 23 points in the postseason matchup. It also marked the 16th time he was able to score 10-plus points. He notched his first career double-double at Erie (3/23) which comprised of 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.

Against Windy City (3/7), Wiggs dished a season-high seven assists just two shy of his career-high tabbed nearly a year before that.

Wiggs is eighth all-time in franchise history with 66 games played and ninth all-time with 145 assists.
