2018-19 Season in Review: Gyorgy Goloman

April 17, 2019 - NBA G League (G League) - Westchester Knicks News Release

NEW YORK, NY - In Gyorgy Goloman's first season with the Westchester Knicks and in the NBA G League, the forward showed promise on both ends of the floor. Goloman proved to not only be a solid outside shooter but had the ability to challenge opponents at the rim.

Goloman appeared in every regular season game this season, landing five starts, averaging 4.6 points on 42.8-percent shooting and 2.7 rebounds.

The 6'11 forward soared for 21 blocks, which was second-most on the team. In a two-game span that included Capital City (12/27) and Fort Wayne (1/2), Goloman averaged 5.0 blocks per game-the most by any Knicks player in two-game window this season.

Throughout the season's first two contests, Goloman averaged 11.0 points, missing just two shots, and 4.0 rebounds. He has scored in double-figures 10 times this year including a career-high 14-point performance versus Wisconsin (11/23).

Able to knock down shots from the perimeter, Goloman swished 30 of them on 35.3-percent shooting. That clip was fourth best on the team of those made 30 or more triples.

Goloman's 40 blocks ranks ninth all-time in franchise history.

The Hungary native also averaged 0.5 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.4 steals during the regular season.
