2017 Conexus Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame Inductees

The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce the 2017 inductees in to the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame. Goaltender Jason Fitzsimmons and forward Rob Reimer will be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with Toby Tobias in the Builders Category during a ceremony at the Heritage Inn on Friday, February 23rd.

From Regina, Jason Fitzsimmons spent three years in the crease for the Moose Jaw Warriors from 1989 to 1992, in 132 games he posted a record of 54-61-4. He is 4th all-time in games played by a Warriors goaltender and his 54 wins ranks 5th in franchise history.

Fitzsimmons was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play eight years professionally from 1992 to 1998 with the Hamilton Canucks, Cape Breton Oilers, Syracuse Crunch, and Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League and spent time in the East Coast Hockey League with the Columbus Chill and South Carolina Stingrays.

Fitzsimmons spent four seasons with the Stingrays as an Assistant Coach before being named Head Coach in 2002 until 2007. After stepping down as Head Coach he joined the Washington Capitals as a Pro Scout/Minor League Operations.

From Neville, Saskatchewan, Rob Reimer suited up in 250 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors from 1987 to 1991 and had 107 goals, 138 assists, and 245 points. His best season was 1990-1991 where he had 45 goals, 54 assists, and 99 points in 63 games. Reimer is tied for 5th all-time in Warriors scoring, he sits 9th all-time in goals and is 9th all-time in assists. Reimer scored one of the biggest goals in team history, notching the game winning goal in the fourth overtime in Moose Jaw's Game 2 win over Swift Current in 1991 Playoffs.

Reimer graduated from the Western Hockey League and went on to play professionally in 1991-1992 with the Halifax Citadels in the American Hockey League and the Greensboro Monarchs and Louisville Icehawks in the East Coast Hockey League.

Reimer attended the University of Regina where he obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree and went on to teach at Thom Collegiate and Regina Christian School. He also has a Master's Degree from Trinity Western University and has been a pastor at the Regina Apostolic Church for the last 13 years. Reimer and his wife Jocelyn also owned Reimer Custom Homes & Commercial Inc.

Toby Tobias served as President on the Moose Jaw Warriors Board of the Directors in 1991. Tobias played a key role, along with the Board of Directors, in the financial restructuring of the organization which kept the Warriors in Moose Jaw during difficult financial times in the late 1980's
