ABA Quebec "Jumping Frogs" nickname considered insensitive to French Canadians

Here's the story and link:

Suffice it to say that calling a French Canadian or anyone of French descent a "frog" is considered an insult. And at this moment, "Jumping Frogs" is considered one of the two possibilities for the name of the Quebec ABA franchise (the other, "Kebekwa," is a phoenetic spelling of "Quebecois").

What's next on the ABA agenda? The Jersey Shore Medical Wasters? The Long Island Lolitas? (They could have a home-and-home against the Amityville Horrors)

I want to see Quebec play the Buffalo Silverbacks.

That would be so effin' cool!

..would be funny. They could play at Dowling College, about two miles from the Amityville Horror site.

Could they build an arena on the Amytiville Horror site? It would be strangely appropriate.......
