When Jesse Cole attends Savannah baseball games this summer, he wont even have to buy a new suit.
Cole, the owner of the Gastonia Grizzlies often seen clad in his yellow suit at Sims Legion Park, bought the Savannah expansion franchise in the Coastal Plain League this year. Over the last few months, Savannah has allowed fans to vote on possible nicknames for the team.
Thursday night at Grayson Municipal Stadium in Savannah, the club invited fans to the park for the big reveal: Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, please welcome the Savannah Bananas to the CPL.
