Well, the independents named it the Indoor Football League Championship so to answer your question, you can call it the IFL Champs or the Independent League Champs--either way, these two are better than any teams the NIFL ever had...

HAHAHA
and sorry to burst your bubble... But the IFL will already crown a champion, either Louisiana, Corpus Christi, Frisco or Odessa..... Intense Football League...... So quit hijacking the initials of a league that is actually Really Good.... Guard and cavs might be 4-6 in this league...

and one more thing... SD destroyed the Cavs this season........ how can you make such a statement

Wyoming destroyed SD; SD just beat them by a TD.

Guard, SD, and Cavs would be a title contender (maybe not a winner, but a contender) in every indoor league there is. That's what makes the NIFL this year so sad.
What are you doing here?
so....... If a group of independent teams played a completely different schedule with no affiliations... and then 2 teams said.. hey lets play and one of us will be called champions.........

Sorry...... It is just a self glorifying exhibition game by 2 good teams that deserved better........ and you guard fans and cav fans can spin it any way you want..... But it is what it is.........

We are all glad that you broke away from the NIFL, now die league die..... But come on..... So we could also say that the SD/ Bmt game was the NIFL championship game and SD won.. since it was the last game that 2 teams that are still actually affiliated with that league played each other?
Leaving the NIFL and both teams moving to Mars and playing the game won't take away the fact that both teams were the best that league had to offer (and many other leagues too btw) and that they were the best teams in their respective conferences....

You spin it how YOU want to.......I'm actually MORE PROUD they played it without an NIFL sanction than if they were. Being IN that league is the joke, not the rule, dum dum.

What importance is a sanction from a league run by (and I use that term loosely) criminals who may end up with prison time and baldfaced liars and can't even update a damn website? WHO NEEDS THAT AFFILIATION?

LOL@U

Congrats to the Guard and Cav for turning lemons into lemonade! I see the Guard has found a new home for 2008......Wyoming, hopefully your owners let bygones be bygones, swallow their pride and join the UIF, where they belong!! The Sioux Falls STORM will be waiting for you............
Much respect for Wyoming coaches, players and fans....No matter the outcome, both teams win by getting out of this Wish-We-Were-Pop-Warner-League teams/league.

48-34 Gueard after WYO lead 20-19---NO OTHER GAME IN NIFL THIS YEAR OFFERED THIS KIND OF PARITY..

2007 CHAMPS FAYETTEVILLE GUARD

IF SD WANTS TO PLAY---LIKE THEY SAY THEY DO

Sportznut - we beat Louisiana when we went down there two years ago and I remember beating a Texas team on two different occasions as well that year. So, keep talking big in your little league.
BTW - we had the ball on the 1 yard line with 2 seconds left and couldn't score and lost by one TD in San Diego, hardly a whooping.
