Comprehensive List of Indoor/Arena Teams in 2005

Post by BananaCat » Tue Nov 23, 2004 7:04 pm

These are all the Indoor/Arena Teams for the 2005 season I could come up with off the top of my head after reading multiple sites and message boards.

If I am missing anything, can someone help me out by adding it? I'm trying to figure out how many leagues we will have and teams in each league. The AFL, AF2, and UIFA look finalized, but the others have a ways to go.

I will also be doing Fantasy Leagues for AFL, AF2, UIFA, and NFLE if anyone is interested...serious players only. If interested in any of the 4 leagues, send me a E-mail at bc88cat@yahoo.com. I would do a NIFL league, but they don't post stats regularly enough. I've been assured by the UIFA that they will post stats regularly...lol...so I'm going ahead with them.

APFL Stuff

That was a pretty good list. You got a lot of them right, I think. But this should've been the list for APFL.

APFL (4 teams?)
Definite Teams: Kansas Koyotes
Iowa Blackhawks
Missouri Minutemen
Nebraska B.E.A.R.S.
Other Teams: Texas Thunder (exhibition team in NIFL/APFL)
Colorado Stars (joined league, didn't play a game, I think non-existent)
Wisconsin Locomotives (see Colorado Stars)
Nebraska Chillers (now I'm confused, APFL doesn't have them on the site anywhere but are included in the standings on Koyotes website)

That is the situation with the APFL.

Any more information about this team (even rumors) would be greatly appreciated.

NIFL Teams-Ft. Worth?

Post by holyfire92 » Fri Dec 31, 2004 5:28 pm

I keep hearing the NIFL will have a team in Ft. Worth, but the local reporters here are saying not until 2006. Will there be any minor league teams in the Metroplex this season? Also, what's up with San Angelo? Are they going to find a coach?

Thanks

Most probably APFL:
Topeka
Kansas City
Overland Park
Iowa
Omaha
Wichita

It's great to have the teams so close together. It will mean more road trips this season!

Sadly, the team was folded. The owner claimed to be losing money.

Reportedly, the owner tried to find a buyer, but either no one met his price, or the league would not approve the purchase...

Theoretically, the team could still be sold and play next year, but unlikely.

The Firebirds were on sale and were even put up on eBay. IIRC, they never found a buyer.
