D-League coming to Des Moines in 07-08.

Check the article, but that raises the league to 15 teams (or two NBA teams per D-League team). The article says that several more teams could be added, although I have heard the following, still not sure if this will be the case though.

Fort Wayne, IN
Florida Flame (returning)
Richmond, VA
Reno, NV
New York (Knicks ownership)

What we do know for the 07-08 season would be as follows:

Southwest
Arkansas Rim Rockers (Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks)
Ft. Worth Flyers (Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Bobcats)
Austin Toros (San Antonio Spurs, New Jersey Nets)
Albuquerque Thunderbirds (Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat)
Rio Valley Grande *expansion* (Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors)

Midwest
Dakota Wizards (Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls)
Sioux Falls Sky Force (Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers)
Tulsa 66ers (Oklahoma City Hornets, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks)
Colorado 14ers (Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics)
Des Moines *expansion* (Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons)

West
Bakersfield Jam (Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings)
Anaheim Arsenal (LA Clippers, Washington Wizards)
Los Angeles (Ontario) D-Fenders (Los Angeles Lakers)
Idaho Stampede (Seattle Sonics, Portland Trailblazers)
Utah *expansion* (Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers)

At the very least the D-League will be a 15 team league. Hopefully the fact that the league is growing will keep some of the American prospects who go overseas here to hone their games and make the league.

Sad to say I might not be attending very many games next season, but I'll still follow the league as it grows. Looks like a great scenario for next season's divisions. But why do you have Ontario in () between LA and D-Fenders? Are they moving there next season? If so, that's news to me.

Actually, they're moving there in '08, when Ontario's new arena is FINALLY completed.

Ah.. no. :( Does that mean Ro and I will have to be even crazier fans then? Cause I'm sure we could be, lol. Rod Benson already thinks we're crazy though.

When there's an official announcement, I think they'll be the Iowa __________, like Des Moines' other sports teams.

Maybe they will use the old IBA logo and name ? Always Loved the Des Moines Dragons.
