OHIO VALLEY to AF2

Post by fan6 » Mon Jun 07, 2004 5:40 pm

THE TALK OF teams from the NIFL joining the AF2, has
got me wondering, if a consolidation takes place wouldnt
the Af2 be interested in the two time NIFL CHAMPION
OHIO VALLEY GREYHOUNDS. They would make an excellent
addition to the league and a good rival for CAPE FEAR.

What are you talking about? I have not heard of any NIFL teams going too AF2. For the most part, its too expensive for many of those teams too operate in AF2 anyways.

I could see a few possibly going to the IFL (I assume the operating costs are similar) but I think the majority of NIFL teams could not survive in the AF2.

I can't remember the other tema but a while back there was an article saying Lexington and another city might join after this season.

OHIO VALLEY IN AF2?

Post by hawk185md » Mon Jun 21, 2004 1:07 pm

Hold on a second! Ohio Valley is from West Virginia while the Cape Fear Wildcats are from Fayetteville, North Carolina. The closest af2 rival for the Ohio Valley Greyhounds would be none than the Quad Cities Steamwheelers (if that IS indeed closer).

The thought of Ohio Valley leaving the NIFL for af2 is something I would have a hard time believing. To be honest with you, I just do not see that happening.
