What was Huntington thinking???

Post by Minor League Man » Tue Aug 15, 2006 3:10 am

When they decided to rejoin the AIFL.

You'd think they'd want to be stable. No...they had to go back to this old mess!

Don't say I didn't warn you, Heroes!

Maybe there is more to the story than what we know. Maybe the WIFL is not all it was cracked up to be.

Who knows????????

No, nothing against the WIFL. Huntington was on an island away from all the WIFL's southern teams, and the AIFL made a few changes.

From an uninformed point of view, it would appear that logistics was a key role.

Any others leaving the WIFL?

Will there be more leaving from the WIFL before they even have their 1st game? Interesting.

What changes did they make? Must be good ones since they came back.

The WIFL owners meeting is going on as we speak. I spoke with some people at the Renegades office (which is currently serving as the WIFL office) yesterday, nobody seemed overly alarmed about the Huntington situation. I wouldn't think any other teams would jump ship after today.

Huntington just isn't a big loss to the WIFL, and I can't see the league doing anything to keep them. Nothing against the Heroes, but they were too far away from the rest of the WIFL teams. They were going to have to spend a lot on travel because they were isolated, and were going to increase the travel costs for everyone else in the WIFL.

More on that this week.

So, do you think Huntington could go back to WIFL in 2008 if they get in a few closer teams?
